Pine Lake Wish List

  • Walkway Improvements: we are seeking to make walking traffic between the Retreat Center and Amphlett Dining Hall. We will be adding lighting, rebuild retaining walls and landscape the slope as we seek to deal with the drainage that comes from the elevation change alongside the path. A handrail will be installed near the dining hall entrance. We would also like to build a covering for the path to minimize snow and ice during the winter and rain during the summer. Please let us know if you can help us reach our goal of an additional $20,000 for this project.
  • We are deeply grateful for the gifts which have allowed for the upgrade to Wildwood loop C. We will continue to seek funds for improving Wildwood. $10,000 is needed to continue upgrading the electrical service in the next loop of Wildwood Campground. So many good things have happened because of this gathering place for families and congregations. Upgrading the electrical service in the lower loops is the next step in development of this resource.

Volunteering - Assisting with maintenance or special projects at the camp is a great way for your group to support this ministry. We will work with you to create a task list appropriate for you. We enjoy groups of middle school age youth through "Prime Timers." For around seven hours of work per day, we'll provide meals - you only pay the lodging fee; contribute while having a meaningful and enjoyable retreat. Contact Nick Coenen, Pine Lake Camp Manager at NCoenen@wisconsinumc.org for current volunteer opportunities.

Needed In-Kind Gifts - Stipulation: While we appreciate friends desire to strengthen ministry at Lake Lucerne Camp and Retreat Center through thoughtful gifts we also must adhere to our right of refusal for items which we really cannot use. Please contact us if you have any questions
